Trade Replay Journal

Trade Replay guides you through the plans, screenshots, execution details and lessons saved with a trade. It reviews recorded evidence; it does not recreate historical markets or let you trade them again.

Revisit the Evidence Stored With Your Trade

Open one stored trade and revisit the evidence attached to it. Replay brings together available planning details, screenshots, recorded execution and reflections, with links back to the related trade and journal.

Manual and imported trade records can participate when stored evidence is available. Replay uses what has been saved; it does not fill gaps by inventing context.

Review Your Plan, Thesis and Recorded Risk

Revisit your saved thesis, entry reason, setup or strategy, planned entry, stop-loss and target. A preserved pre-trade checklist snapshot may appear when available, with a link to its full read-only record.

Planned risk and risk/reward depend on sufficient saved fields. Realized R requires recorded planned-risk evidence and an available result; missing values are not inferred. Planned and actual information can appear in separate stages, without an automated execution-variance calculation.

Follow Entry, Exit and Recorded Results

Review available entry and exit prices, times, direction, quantity, entry confidence, emotion and exit reason. Replay displays recorded net P&L and realized R when available; it does not independently recalculate results.

Commissions and fees are not itemized inside Replay. Return to the trade details to examine available cost fields. Recorded trade and screenshot timestamps are not a synchronized market clock.

Review Screenshots and Saved Annotations

Revisit multiple screenshots already attached to the trade, subject to your plan limit. Replay orders screenshots by category, then captured time or upload time, then record order. This sequence reflects saved evidence, not verified market chronology.

Open an image to zoom in, zoom out or fit it to the viewer. Existing saved annotations are view-only in Replay; Replay does not create or edit annotations.

Screenshot captions and observations add context. They do not mean every generic trade-note field appears in the staged review. Attachments are managed through the trade and journal tools.

Move Through Seven Evidence Review Stages

  1. Trade Plan
  2. Before Entry
  3. Entry
  4. During Trade
  5. Exit
  6. After Exit
  7. Review and Lessons

Use Previous, Next, Jump to stage and Restart to review the seven fixed stages. Manual, 1× and 2× progression advance through stored evidence; timed progression is not market playback.

Pause and resume the evidence sequence as needed. Available screenshots and saved facts appear within their relevant stages; stages without evidence cannot reconstruct what happened.

Save Reflections and Lessons Learned

Record what went well, what could improve, your primary lesson and whether you would take the trade again. Replay can also display a linked journal lesson and recorded plan-following review information.

Replay reflections do not modify trade execution data. They are saved to the Replay session, along with review completion. Saving an updated reflection clears the previous completion state so you can review it again.

Writing what could improve is your reflection, not automatic mistake-tag analysis. Connect your review to the Day trading journal or Swing trading journal.

Understand Replay’s Evidence and Market-Data Limits

Replay is stored-evidence review, not historical market-data playback. It does not provide historical candlestick playback, tick replay, live market replay, simulated order execution, paper trading or backtesting.

It does not provide broker-recorded execution playback, automatic reconstruction of market conditions, synchronized chart playback or automatic historical market-data retrieval.

Missing screenshots, timestamps, checklist snapshots or trade fields remain missing. Older records may have less evidence. Importing trade data does not imply screenshots, thesis, reasons, emotions or planned risk were supplied.

Displayed evidence reflects stored records, which may be updated elsewhere; Replay is not an immutable snapshot of every field. Saved results depend on the underlying trade data and available costs. Replay does not provide currency conversion or multi-currency reporting.
