Crypto trading journal software for pairs, trade plans, and review
Keep crypto symbols or pairs, planned and actual execution, fractional quantity, known trading costs, screenshots, and decision notes together for a clearer review.
What to record in a crypto trading journal
A symbol or pair and a profit or loss do not explain the decision. Record the details that let you compare your plan with the completed trade.
Use this checklist as a starting point:
- Crypto symbol or pair, long or short direction, fractional quantity, and account.
- Planned and actual entry, exit price and times, stop, and target.
- Timeframe, recorded market context, commissions, and other known fees.
- Strategy, setup, thesis, entry and exit reasons, and emotional state.
- Screenshots, notes, and a lesson to carry into the next review.
Keep crypto pairs, fractional quantities, and known fees in context
Record the symbol or pair and fractional quantity shown in your source record. Compare the planned entry with the actual entry, then preserve the exit, stop, target, timestamps, and timeframe you used.
For Crypto, TradersMill uses the generic directional price-difference × quantity × multiplier calculation. It does not automatically convert base or quote currencies into USD or your account currency.
Record costs you can verify
Add known commissions and other fees without filling in missing evidence. TradersMill does not calculate network or gas fees, and missing costs should not be treated as zero.
The journal does not provide crypto tax or cost-basis accounting. Review calculated results against your source records and read the trading risk disclaimer.
Plan trades for a 24/7 crypto market
Use pending-trade planning to record the pair, timeframe, intended entry, stop, target, strategy or setup, thesis, and reasons before execution. Add screenshots and notes as the idea develops.
Crypto can be treated as a continuous, 24/7 market for planning and journaling context. TradersMill does not supply real-time market data or verify live exchange availability.

Review crypto trades against your original plan
Compare planned entry, stop, and target with the execution you recorded. Screenshots, reasons, notes, emotions, and lessons support daily and weekly review and help keep performance results connected to your decisions.
Daily journaling, weekly review, and the performance calendar are included in Essential. Advanced analytics and checklists, Trade Replay, Setup Playbook, and setup analytics and grading require Professional or Elite. Screenshot capacity also depends on your plan. View Plans.
Explore performance reviewQuestions for your next review
- Did the actual entry match the planned setup and thesis?
- Did the trade respect its stop or invalidation?
- Did the recorded quantity and known costs match the source record?
- What decision should you repeat or change?
These prompts support reflection; they are not claims of automated trade evaluation.
Import crypto trades through supported CSV workflows
Start with manual entry or a supported CSV workflow. Universal CSV requires the documented TradersMill schema. Supported TradingView CSV workflows require the expected export format and sufficient trade evidence; an arbitrary exchange CSV is not automatically understood.
Automatic broker/exchange sync is not currently available. Broker Auto Sync is Coming Soon.
Check imported evidence before review
Confirm the symbol or pair, direction, quantity, entry and exit details, timestamps, and available costs against the source report. Then add screenshots and decision notes that an execution file cannot explain.
